So there I am sitting at the Skytrain Station waiting for my ride to work relaxing listening to my tunes eyes closed envisioning my day ahead. BAM!!!! I snap back into reality as I feel my board pull out from under my feet. As I open my eyes I see a very scrubby looking guy in his 30's attempting to skate away with my Xylan Sleeper , holy shit!!!! I shoot up like an Olympic sprinter (well,
maybe more like a retired sprinter with two shot knees). I'm slow on foot but thankfully this guy is pretty slow an a longboard, as he got to the stairs he got off the board to grab it... that's where I come back into the story. With a flying shot to the face buddy went down, hard. I was really pissed and didn't notice the police walking up the stairs as I put my knee into his shoulder to pin him down (he was still reaching for the board!!) and fed him a few more shots to the face.
The police officers we're less than impressed with what I was doing and quickly put me in cuffs, all the while the scrubby guy is yelling at me to give him back "his board"!!! I insisted that it was in fact my board but the cops didn't really know what to do until I asked them to pull my card holder out of my back left pocket. The cops did so and what they found made them laugh, My card holder is filled with business cards with my name then Xylan International Distribution. Needless to say they quickly un-cuffed me and hauled my grubby friend away. So here's a lesson for you, if your board is important to you don't take your eyes off it, and if your going to pound someone for trying to steal it make sure you have some proof its yours. You never know who's coming around that next corner.
